A Build-a-Basket event is a hands-on, meaningful way to support Grateful Friends while building connection within your group. Whether you’re a business, a group of friends, or a community organization, hosting an event helps us deliver Comfort Baskets™ to local hospitals and oncology centers—each filled with care, encouragement, and essentials.
What is a Build-a-Basket Event?
A Build-a-Basket event begins with a simple item drive using our curated shopping list. Once items are collected, your group comes together at your location to assemble Comfort Baskets™ that will be distributed to adult cancer patients starting treatment.
Each basket also includes a handwritten note of support, offering encouragement during a difficult moment.
These events are joyful, personal, and deeply impactful—for both those creating the baskets and those receiving them.
Who Can Host an Event?
Everyone is welcome.
Build-a-Basket events can be hosted by:

Businesses and corporate teams

Groups of friends or families

Community, cultural, or faith-based organizations

Clubs, schools, and professional groups
Corporate sponsors may also choose to include company-branded baskets as part of their event, but branding is optional.
