Help for the challenges you are uniquely facing as you navigate your cancer journey.
You may have just received a cancer diagnosis or be a cancer patient receiving life-saving treatments or living every day with your cancer. Read through the program descriptions below and let us know how can we help.
Peace of Mind Program
Grateful Friends’ Peace of Mind program partners with oncology social workers and resource specialists to help ease the financial stress patients face during treatment, allowing them to focus their energy on healing. Through this program, we provide support with essential expenses such as utilities, auto loans, insurance, and other ongoing bills that don’t pause during cancer care.
We also offer grocery, gas, and Uber gift cards.
Please note: Grateful Friends does not provide direct assistance with rent, mortgages, or medical bills. However, we can offer support in other areas that may help free up funds to manage those expenses.
• Attach a doctor’s note on letterhead.
• $800 maximum benefit per recipient per calendar year.
• Copies of bills requested to be paid must be furnished.
• Financial assistance will be made directly to the vendors.
• Applications are usually reviewed on a bimonthly basis, and payments are mailed directly to the vendor within a week of approval.
• All bills must include the payment stub and reflect a current billing cycle.
• Bills enrolled in automatic payment (autopay) are not eligible.
Need a Break Program
Perhaps you'd like a break from cancer or treatments for a short time and enjoy a baseball game, a concert or show, or dinner out with loved ones. Grateful Friends may be able to help!
Tell us what experience would bring you joy, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
Please complete the application and submit it through your oncology care team. They can also assist you in filling it out if needed.

Thank You Program
Is there someone who has been by your side—driving you to appointments, lifting your spirits, or simply making you smile when you need it most? Grateful Friends would love to help you say “thank you.” Your appreciation can be through a restaurant gift card, movie or show tickets, or a Visa gift card.
Please complete the application and tell us about the special person you’d like to honor. Submit the application through your oncology care team, who can also assist you in completing it if needed.
• $250 maximum benefit per recipient per calendar year.
Apply for A Financial Assistance Program Here
Recipients must be adults (18+) living with cancer or going through cancer treatment. There is a total maximum benefit of $1000 per recipient per calendar year between ALL Grateful Friends' programs. Requests over the maximum benefit will require approval from the Board of Directors.
You may also apply by printing and completing the application. Completed forms may be faxed or mailed only.
