About the Event
Join us for the Second Annual Jail & Bail Fundraiser on Wednesday, April 1st at Gentile Brewing in Beverly! This lively community event raises funds for Grateful Friends and our programs supporting adults in Essex and Middlesex Counties who are living with cancer. It’s a fun night you won’t want to miss!
How it works:
Seven or eight local community figures will be “arrested” and locked up in the Grateful Friends jail. Their only way out is to raise their bail money by calling friends, family, and coworkers to donate on their behalf (this is you!). Once their bail goal is reached, they’re officially sprung!
You don’t have to attend in person to help someone make bail, you can donate from wherever you are through Venmo (@gratefulfriends).
But the real fun happens in person at Gentile Brewing! Stop by to watch the action, cheer on your favorite “inmate,” enjoy a pint, and help free them by paying their bail directly to the “bailiffs.” Our VP, Walter Hartford, will be serving as Sheriff for the evening, keeping things lively as we celebrate community, laughter, and a great cause together.
Come for the fun, stay for the camaraderie, and help make a difference for adults facing cancer in our community.
